We’re starting this GoFundMe for the incredible baby girl coming into our families. Taylor and Trent are having a baby girl soon, but she has quite the journey ahead of her. Please read what Taylor wrote below to explain: Hi everyone, We are so excited to welcome our baby girl this October. During an ultrasound, we learned that she has a giant omphalocele, which means her organs are developing outside of her body and she will need specialized care right away. She is expected to spend at least a couple of months in the NICU, and we don’t yet know if she’ll be able to stay close to home in Fargo or if we will need to travel to Minneapolis for her care. On top of her medical needs, I will be having a C-section and will need extra time to recover, which means being out of work longer than planned. Between lost income, travel, food, and medical expenses not covered by insurance, the costs will add up quickly. We were so incredibly blessed by the support of family and friends at our baby shower, which helped us prepare with baby essentials for when she comes home. This fundraiser is to help with the unexpected side of things: covering the financial strain of travel, meals away from home, possible lodging, a specialized car seat for when she’s discharged, and medical-related expenses during her NICU stay. We will provide updates as we learn more about her needs and care plan. Your support, whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing this page, means the world to us. We want to spend this time focusing on our baby girl’s healing and bringing her home, and any help in easing the financial strain makes that possible.
